Replica of the German carabiner model 98k - finally we can offer one of the most in-demand collectibles models available in recent years. Best known as the Standard Weapon of the German Infantry during World War II. 98K where k stands for kurz (short in English) was very popular thanks to its reliability and in addition, the precision of the weapon was very high - up to 500m with the original sight and 800 – 1000m with a riflescope. The Model 98k was therefore very popular also as a sniper weapon. The weapon was originally manufactured for caliber 7.92mm by the Mauser factories with an initial speed of 760m/s. This riffle was equipped with an internal magazine that holds 5 cartridges that could be charged individually or with a charging frame. The 98k rifle was produced between 1935 and 1945. For example, the Swedish Army bought 5000 of this rifle in caliber 8mm – M/39. In total, just over 14.5 million copies of this popular repeater rifle were produced. The Red Army seized millions of these rifles at the end of the war and then spread them among Warsaw pact members, thus using certain rifles actively right up to our days. On this fine replica you can make loading movement, dryfire the weapon and regulate the rear sight up/down. The plunger is made of wood. This model is also equipped with a leather rifle strap.
