Replica German 9mm pistol P38 - 1938
Model P38 or, as the production name from the beginning was, P.38 is the real service/sidearm for the “German Wehrmacht” during WWII and not the famous Luger P08 as many people believe. The P.38 was an 9mm semi-automatic pistol with technique and performance still in use today by modern weapon like Beretta 92FS, M9(U.S Army) and similar. The pistol was developed by Carl Walther and the first prototype was approved in 1938. From the start of 1939 the gun was put in mass production. From 1941 most of the German officers changed their sidearm to the P38 and from 1944 all military Units in the German Wehrmacht use it as well. The Walther P38 was the first pistol to use a real trigger with DA/SA – double/single action. Just during the WWII, it almost produced 1,3 million pcs of the P38. During 1963 it changes name to P1 and got an upgrade with aluminum frame. During the 1990 the P1 started to phased out from the German Army and where replaced in 2004 by the more modern pistol P8. Even that so where the P1 used during the Iraqi war 2014 – 2017 by the Iraqi security police who ordered more than 10 000pcs during this period. For the replica P38 its made by metal and it’s possible to release the magazine and dry fire. If you are a real fan of the WWII, this is one of the pistols you must have in your collection!
