The original model 92 to this replica started to manufacturing by Beretta 1975. Carlo Beretta, Giuseppe Mazzetti and Vittorio Valle, all experienced firearms designers, contributed to the final design in 1975. For some technical solution they were using earlier models from Beretta like M1923 and M1951 but some solution were also “borrow” from Walther P38 and browning. Most famous is the 92FS model for replacing the American army’s Holy model M1911A1 as a sidearm from 1985. The model they choose were 92FS and become later named as M9. Probably were the main reason to the change that the US Army would like to have a model who also handle the Natos standard ammunition 9x19mm, caliber 9mm parabellum. The model 92 has been produced in several designs and calibers and totally so far the model 92 has been produced in 3 500 000 copy´s. This gun is still very popular along police and military units all over the world. Muzzle velocity is 381m/s and effective firing range is around 50m. This replica is made of metal with working mechanism, it possible to make a mantel movement and then blank fire. The magazine is possible to take out. This model is very popular along collectors.
